This kodak camera is very user friendly. It is simple to use and easy to set up with your computer. With two babies, I always keep a camera handy to capture those “moments.” When my camera got smashed in the diaper bag, I had to quickly replace it, and was pleased to find this Kodak Easy Share camera. Good price. And quick shipping.
An added bonus is its red color – not easily confused with other people’s cameras.

I’ve had this camera for 6 months. I carry it in a pocket of my purse so I can take quality pictures anytime. This past week we took it on vacation and my daughter fell into a stream while it was in her pocket so the camera was completely submerged (along with my daughter). It was dead and the SD card was empty. I pulled out the SD card and the battery and let it dry out. A few hours later, everything was as good as new! I was very impressed, I never expected a camera to survive a swim!

All about Memory Cards and Kodak digital cameras?
Okay..I have a Kodak digital camera, and it came with a USB Port. I know how to use the USB Port, but we also bought a memory card. What’s the purpose of a memory card and should I insert it into the computer or the camera?
Answer
The card goes into the memory card holder behind the door on your camera.
Look in the user manual that came with your camera.
Once you have finished taking photos, take the card out and put it in your computer … you can then copy all the image files to your computer using your computer skills
How To Convert Edit Kodak Mov With Windows Movie Maker And Then Upload Wmm Files To Youtube

This passage has been divided into five parts:
What do you know about Kodak camcorders
How much do you know about codec?
How to import Kodak MOV files to windows movie maker
How to export video files from windows movie maker
How to upload WMM files to YouTube
Most of my friends have got one of the Kodak camcorders from the Kodak family. Most of the time, they will feel proud to have such an easy-to-use and high-qualified camcorder. However, when they try to import Kodak default MOV files to windows movie maker, or upload MOV files to YouTube, they will regret to have bought such inconvenient camera.
Actually I am one of the Kodak digital camera fans. I know all Kodak cameras (Kodak zi6, Kodak zi8, Kodak Zx1, Kodak PLAYSPORT and Kodak EasyShare) have their own specifications to fit for different customers.
MOV is the default output video files captured by Kodak cameras, which can be played by Apple QuickTime. If you want to play MOV video files on iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, you may cost $29.99 to buy a QuickTime Pro(http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/), and then you can export MOV files to play on Apple iPod, iPhone, Apple TV.
After you capture videos by your Kodak camcorder, you may want to edit the footage first and then share video with your friends, family via YouTube, blog, website, email, etc.
Which editors do you need?
Great editors include: windows movie maker, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express.
Actually, MOV is the right format for iMovie, Final Cut Pro (FCP), Final Cut Express (FCE). But sometimes you still feel frustrated for not able to import them to iMovie, FCP, FCE, then you need some corresponding codec.
What is codec?
Codec is a technical name for ‘compression/decompression’. It also stands for ‘compressor/decompressor’ and ‘code/decode’. All of these variations mean the same thing: a codec is a computer program that both shrinks large movie files, and makes them playable on your computer. Codec programs are required for your media player to play your downloaded music and movies.
Why do you need a codec?
Because video and music files are large, they become difficult to transfer across the Internet quickly. To help speed up downloads, mathematical ‘codecs’ were built to encode (‘shrink’) a signal for transmission and then decode it for viewing or editing. Without codecs, downloads would take three to five times longer than they do now. You may know more about codec here(http://www.fourcc.org/fcccodec.htm)!
How do you import Kodak MOV files to windows movie maker?
Windows movie maker can accept WMV, AVI, MPG formats but not for MOV video files created by Kodak camcorder. You may need a converter to convert MOV directly to WMM compatible format. Use Kodak MOV to windows movie maker converter to finish the conversion task, still maintaining the original quality.
How to export video files from windows movie maker?
After editing with widows movie maker to get your personalized video clips, click ‘Save to my computer’ to save video files as WMV by step by step guide (Save to my computer%26gt;Enter a file name%26gt;Choose final save destination%26gt;Movie settings%26gt;Click Next).
Note: do not click File icon on the top to enter ‘Save Project as’. You will save them to SMWMM which is not a video file.
How to upload windows movie maker videos to YouTube?
To upload a video onto YouTube, you need to pay attention to many aspects:
1.Videos less than 10 minutes will better
2.Video no more than 2 GB will be fine
3.Right YouTube video format should be
4.Right codec should exist
If you want to upload windows movie maker videos to YouTube, you should convert WMV video files to FLV which is perfect for YouTube. Kodak video converter (http://www.kodak-video-converter.com/) , not only convert Kodak MOV files to other popular video format, But also can convert any video format to each other. So you also can use Kodak video converter to convert WMV to FLV.

Does anyone prefer Kodak digital cameras, even though there are so many “higher quality” ones (Canon, Nikon)
I’m not talking about their EASE OF USE. That’s a given. I mean, things like picture quality and colors of the pictures. I’ve had all of the supposed “expensive” cameras, but I seem to want to return to Kodak Easyshare! Anybody else prefer Kodak, and why? Thank you!
Answer
Sorry, I started with Kodak, moved on to Fuji and ended up with Nikon. There is no hope of me ever returning to Kodak.
However I do not mean to rubbish your choice. If you are taking great pictures with it and are happy then more power to you! Enjoy your photography!
