Consider the Panasonic TXL32S10 Model

If you are considering purchasing a flat screen set, there are numerous options which are available and it may be difficult to decide which TV set is the best model for you. If you are interested in a good entry level television set, you should seriously consider the Panasonic TX-L32S10.

The TX-L32S10 has a 32″ LCD screen. It belongs to Panasonic’s line of Viera TV sets. This line offers several excellent features which are very user friendly whether or not you have any experience with high tech electronics. The sound system is rich and robust and uses V-Audio surround sound. This system uses a sensor which allows the unit to determine the size of the room it has been placed in and can adjust the sound levels and positioning appropriately.

The TX-L32S10 is very versatile in that it features four different performance modes. They include normal and dynamic viewing as well as cinematic and gaming modes as well. Its screen is adaptable enough to handle the quick changes that video games require which is important for a true gaming experience. If you are playing a heavy action game you want to make sure your screen can keep up with your gaming unit. If you are entertaining a large number of guests at one time the 178 degree viewing range is also helpful as you are able to view the screen from a number of angles without image distortion.

Image quality was quite good especially in key areas like reproducing flesh tone. However the TX-L32S10 screen pixel mapping capabilities were not 1:1 and this may make this unit unsuitable for viewing text applications and information. Its white-black uniformity was quite good on all areas of the screen. However, one image issue that did pop up was the softness of pixels at the edges of the screen. While this can be good to reduce aliasing when playing video games, it may not make a movie image as sharp.

As an entry level TV set the TX-L32S10 still exhibits a lot of the styling which the Panasonic Viera line is noted for. The most notable advantage is the remote control unit. It is a simply designed unit with an excellent layout for intuitive use. It also allows you to operate other AV equipment and this, when coupled with the Viera link networking system makes it simple and straightforward for you to use all AV components together as a cohesive whole. Viera link allows you to connect different AV components with an HDMI cable and then operate them using your television set remote.

digital photography has not been forgotten either. Have you wanted to be able to display the images on your digital camera in a much larger format or present them to family and friends? The TX-L32S10 is an ideal TV for you. You are able to display the contents of any LUMIX camera that is equipped with an HDMI output terminal. Simply connect the camera to the TV set with a cable and you can display the contents on the TV. If your camera lacks the HDMI terminal you can also simply insert your SD card into a slot on the set and display the images that way.

While there are many features which make this TX-L32S10 television appealing to many people, it is an entry level LCD TV and this is something you should remember. While there are a number of amazing features, there are some issues with this set. While the glossy finish of the TV set looks quite stylish, it is prone to scratching and will show fingerprints which may put some people off this model. Also, as far as screen images are concerned, while the image quality is good, if you are a performance user who wants to push this unit you may find you are unable to calibrate the screen to the extent you may wish to.

But don’t let the few drawbacks put you off of considering this unit. While high performance users may wish to purchase a higher priced unit, the truth remains that for the money it is an extremely durable and well thought out option. If you are looking to purchase an LCD set, try the Panasonic TX-L32S10.

is there much difference between LEICA lens and panasonic one LUMIX?

i want to buy a panasonic lumix cam,, but some have LEICA LENS and the other panasonic own LUMIX lens,, i just want nice family photos and stuff like that,, nothing profesional but nice clear photos.. any advice please?

Answer
Panasonic do have a range of cameras which uses Leica lenses. The Leica lens are definitely better than the ones that Panasonic uses and even Panasonic markets it as such -i.e. the Leica equipped Panasonic are the high end model.

A good lens will give a sharp photo (even at the corners), low chromatic aberrations (the colour fringing you may see when you blow up the photo). If you have decided on Panasonic, then it is clear that the Leica lens ones are better. You will have to decide if the higher price is within your budget.
